Tony Sultana has a strong technical background in industrial electronics, computer aided manufacturing and government information systems through attachment programmes in Singapore and Japan.
Tony possesses 30 years of hands-on experience in Information Technology together with a proven track record of managing high profile and politically sensitive projects for the Government of Malta. He took an active role in the making of MITTS and MITA with the main responsibilities of managing the implementation of various Information Systems; heading the Euro IT Task Force; and managing the integrated utilities business systems in the Energy sector.
Recently, he was heading the Corporate Shared Services Department at MITA, responsible for bringing together various horizontal Core Information Systems across all the departments of the Maltese Government.
He holds a degree in Mathematics and Computing from the University of Malta, and a Master degree in Management from the University of Anglia in UK.
