What is the NCC?

On 28th June 2021 a  new regulation by the EP and the Council establishing the European Cybersecurity Industrial, Technology and Research Competence Centre and the Network of National Coordination Centres to bring all cybersecurity expertise under one centre, entered into force.

This regulation provides for the creation of a Competence Centre, which would be the Union’s main instrument to pool investment in cybersecurity research, technology and industrial development. It would also deliver cybersecurity-related financial support from Horizon Europe and the Digital Europe programmes.

The National Coordination Centres (NCC)    are entrusted with various tasks:

MITA has been chosen to be Malta’s NCC.

The passage is attributed to an unknown typesetter in the 15th century who is thought to have scrambled parts of Cicero’s De Finibus Bonorum et Malorum for use in a type specimen book. It usually begins with:“Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua.” The purpose of lorem ipsum is to create a natural looking block of text (sentence, paragraph, page, etc.) that doesn’t distract from the layout.
