CYBER ROOT Conference – Presented by MITA
On Thursday 9th November 2023 at MFCC, Ta Qali, MITA presented the fifth edition of CYBER ROOT, the national cybersecurity conference for Malta.
This Conference which was organized by the National Cybersecurity Coordination Centre (NCC) under the auspices of MITA, had the mission to educate local professionals and executives about the intricacies of cybersecurity while providing a platform for industry experts, renowned personalities, and cybersecurity enthusiasts to converge under one roof.The CYBER ROOT Conference boasted an impressive line-up of internationally renowned personalities and national speakers, making it an event for anyone interested in the field of cybersecurity.
Attendees had the opportunity to explore the expo area, where various international and local cybersecurity vendors exhibited their services and products.
During the conference, which was opened by the MITA CEO, Ing Emanuel Darmanin, MITA officially launched an enticing Scheme aimed at enhancing the national cybersecurity ecosystem. The CTO and Head of Security, Mr. Jonathan Cassar presented this Scheme, inviting all legally established entities in Malta, including companies, self-employed individuals, and partnerships, to evaluate their cybersecurity posture while fostering a cybersecurity culture.
