Gamify your Classroom Sweden! Learning is more fun with Digital Games, May 2016

Nyströmska School in Sweden, one of MITA’s project partners in the GBL4ESL Erasmus+ project, organised a knowledge sharing event on May 12th, 2016.

This event was aimed at educators, youth workers, and the general public, in particular those working with at risk students. The participants had the opportunity to have a sneak-peek into the Game Based Learning toolkit being developed for this Erasmus+ project by Mag. Thomas Wernbacher from Donau University, Austria (click here​ for presentation).

Two workshops were delivered during the event:
1. Digital Game-Based Learning: Why & How?

2. Developing the Learning Game: from start to a ready product

These workshops introduced innovative GBL concepts and reinforced the idea that GBL techniques work in the classroom when implemented correctly. Adding a fun element to school curricula, can help engage students at risk of becoming early school leavers.
