The Agency operates a business model based on entering into project and service contracts funded from national and EU programmes. MITA builds relationships with clients and provides them with a suite of management services. These include programme, project and supplier management, service management, enterprise architecture and technical consultancy in all domains that the Agency operates. It is a Schedule III Contracting Authority and enters into supplier contracts by administering its own procurement procedures, conforming with government public procurement regulations.
In delivering programmes and projects, MITA adopts industry-best practices and standards. Specifically, for software development projects, Agile and Software Development Life-cycle (SDLC) methodologies are adopted. The Agency also practices dev-ops to achieve a more holistic approach for better visibility, collaboration, quality and timely delivery of projects and services.
In delivering services, the Agency is fully aligned to IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) procedures, which include ICT Change Management, Risk Management and Patch Management, to ensure quality and professionally.
The Agency has built internal governance, legal, enterprise risk, audit and quality functions, and is certified in ISO 9001, ISO 27001, ISO 14000. It has won various quality and best-practice awards.
