Core Network

The Core Network is central to the Government’s ICT architecture. Hosted within the MITA Data Centre, it is the fundamental, critical, underlying infrastructure that enables the Government of Malta to securely access a hybrid cloud platform, an email platform, the internet and other ICT services. The infrastructure provides multiple 10Gbps links for capacity and resiliency between MITA’s two Data Centres. Together with next generation network equipment deployed across both sites, the Agency provides a variety of technology services to assist the Government in transforming and modernising its public service performance and delivery.
