MITA acts as the Government’s Internet Service Provider (ISP), by procuring internet bandwidth and routing services from local carriers, repackaging them with value added extras such as web filters. A number of features and reporting options provide government users with the security, functionality and flexibility they need. MITA makes continuous enhancements to bandwidth to make room for the growing number of public officers making use of the internet as a business tool. This reflects the Government’s belief that access to the internet, at high performance and good quality levels, is an invaluable tool in today’s workplace.
