MITA is responsible for the continuous improvement and operation of the Government’s Server and Database ecosystem. The Agency’s managed solutions have a standardised way of managing scalable, reliable and maintainable servers (Windows and Linux) and database management systems (IBM Informix, MS SQL Server, MariaDb, etc.) hosting applications and services both on-premises and off-premises.

MITA is responsible for drafting and implementing the roadmaps for these strategic infrastructure components. It troubleshoots operational issues, aims to reduce the recurrence of incidents, and continuously improve services. This is achieved by empowering developers and customers to quickly and reliably build and deploy innovative government services that require databases and servers using practices such as Devops and infrastructure as code.
