MITA is committed to ensuring that both the technology in use and the technology direction taken by the Government is relevant, effective, provides value for money and meets objectives as set in the Digital Malta Strategy. It is the digital driver for all government technology transformation and innovation activities.

MITA is responsible for enterprise architecture and its domains (business, data, application, technology) within government. It provides clear technology guidance and consultancy and contributes to ICT policy formulation. Different teams across the Agency work together to provide innovative digital solutions for services, processes and security to help ensure the best customer experiences.
