MITA delivers and manages information systems across government, providing the tools to the Public Administration to digitalise, reform and innovate.
The Agency provides several common and shared technological platforms, for standard government websites, online and mobile services. This includes components that can be shared across different information systems such as for data sharing and re-use, electronic identity, payments and notifications. Working with respective business owners, MITA implements and supports applications shared across government, such as for human resources, payroll and financial management.
For line-of-business systems, MITA serves as the digital consultant for the Government. Particularly in the case of taxation and social services, the Agency is the main partner for the respective ministry in helping to design business tools for adopting digital technologies and going through the whole implementation life-cycle.
