MITA serves the Ministry for Health in various areas, including project management services, implementation services, tendering, supplier and contract management, technical consultancy, software development services, core systems operational support and health data exchange.

MITA’s work provides the building blocks for the Ministry for Health to achieve a dedicated enterprise service bus, distributing work among connected components, for the ‘mobile first’ next generation myHealth portal. This portal enables the centralised provision and interface of data services within the various health systems.

The success of next generation myHealth is demonstrated by the significant take-up by both citizens and private general practitioners. The number of patients using myHealth has increased by 600% since 2015.

Also, the Agency supports the core applications of the Public Health Service and provides technical consultancy services to the Ministry.
