Robert Galea

Robert Galea joined MITA (then MSU Ltd) in November 1992 within the Network Operations Centre.  In late 1993 Robert was promoted to Project Leader responsible for infrastructure projects, then in June 1997 to Manager responsible for operations and projects for e-mail, Internet and the Malta Government Network.

In January 2002 he was promoted to Enterprise Programme Manager responsible for strategic, multi-million Euro, corporate infrastructure projects, chiefly the overhaul of the Malta Government Network, the consolidation of core IT Services provided by MITA and the overhaul of the MITA’s Internet infrastructure.

In 2018/9 Robert was responsible for the implementation of MITA’s ambitious and single largest investment, the Hybrid Cloud Platform.

Currently Robert is the Head of the Infrastructure Services Department, responsible for MITA’s operations and projects within the areas of Hybrid Cloud Services, Systems, Databases, Wide Area Network, Internet and related infrastructure services.
