    ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

    Software Developer

    Jobsplus Permit 589 / 2016

    At the eGovernment Services Department we are responsible for delivering those shared ICT services which the Government builds upon to digitalise the provision of services to citizens, residents of Malta and cross-border users from other European Member States.

    Our portfolio includes Workflow Automation, electronic Payment Gateway, SMS Notifications Gateway and Website Content Management tools used for local and cross-border eGovernment services and the HR, Document Management and Programme Implementation packages used corporately within Government.

    For the provision of these services, we use the latest Cloud technology coupled with cutting edge systems in every sector in which we operate. We increasingly adopt Agile methods for managing in-house software development while ensuring the resilience of the architectures we design and build.

    To fulfil our upcoming challenges, we are seeking to strengthen our team with individuals who wish to distinguish themselves and do something truly meaningful in their careers. In turn, we offer the opportunity for unique exposure and sustained career development and training.

    The successful candidate will be expected to hold either of the following set of qualifications and/or experience:

    • An ICT related qualification (MQF level 5) or higher, in which case experience is not necessary; OR
    • An ICT related qualification (MQF level 4) together with one-year experience in a related area; OR
    • Two years’ experience in a related area.

    Fresh graduates may be offered an employment opportunity subject to the provision of final results.

    Candidates’ qualifications, experience and competencies will be assessed in line with the Agency’s Career Progression framework. Successful candidates may be engaged at either the Associate level – Career Level 2, the standard level – Career Level 3 or the Senior level – Career Level 4.
