MITA is seeking to recruit an Analyst to join the National Cybersecurity Coordination Centre (NCC) team. 

The NCC plays a central role in strengthening Malta’s cybersecurity ecosystem by building the National Cybersecurity Community, promoting cybersecurity awareness and education, supporting skills development, and fostering collaboration between government, industry, academia and research institutions. The Centre also serves as Malta’s gateway to the European cybersecurity ecosystem. 

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to national initiatives that raise cybersecurity awareness, develop cyber talent, and strengthen community engagement across Malta. 

Key Responsibilities 

The selected candidate will: 

  • Support the growth and engagement of Malta’s National Cybersecurity Community. 
  • Coordinate cybersecurity awareness, education and outreach initiatives targeting citizens, students, professionals and organisations. 
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of flagship national initiatives, including CYBER ROOT, the Cyber Awards, and the Cyber Security Challenge
  • Engage and collaborate with national and international stakeholders from government, industry, academia and civil society. 
  • Support communication campaigns, promotional activities, social media initiatives and community engagement efforts. 
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations and other documentation related to NCC activities. 
  • Support initiatives that encourage participation in cybersecurity skills development programmes and EU-funded opportunities. 

We Are Looking For 

An individual who: 

  • Has excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills. 
  • Demonstrates strong organisational, project coordination and event management abilities. 
  • Enjoys working with diverse stakeholders and audiences. 
  • Has experience in communications, marketing, project management, business administration, education or related fields. 
  • Has an interest in cybersecurity and digital resilience. 
  • Can work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. 

Eligibility Requirements 

The successful candidate is expected to hold either of the following set of qualifications and/or experience in areas related to Administration and/or Business and/or Management: 

  1. A qualification in a related area (MQF Level 5 or higher); OR 
  1. A qualification in a related area (MQF Level 4) and 1 year’ experience in a related area; OR 
  1. 2 years’ experience in a related area. 

Students about to graduate may be offered an employment opportunity subject to the provision of final results. 

*Candidates’ qualifications, experience and competencies will be assessed in line with the Agency’s Career Progression framework. Successful candidates may be engaged at either the Associate level – Career Level 2, the Standard level – Career Level 3 or the Senior level – Career Level 4.  This depends on the level of competency shown during the interview.
