MITA Cares

MITA Cares is the Corporate Social Responsibility arm for the Agency. It shares MITA’s vision, values and practices, and with the contribution of all MITA employees it helps to create a positive impact on society and the environment.

The MITA Cares committee consists of 7 elected MITA employees. Regular meetings are held to maintain the right momentum of support and activities.

It actively helps different segments of the society by supporting the work of various NGOs and Voluntary Organisations, including charitable entities, environmental organisations, and others. This typically involves requests for financial or other material assistance for individuals and families. But the work goes beyond simply giving donations. MITA Cares is regularly requested by some NGOs to provide essential support in national telethons and other fund-raising events. Equally important, MITA Cares evaluates and addresses social requests from MITA employees.
Part of the ongoing work is to raise awareness, increase engagement and hold fund-raising activities. As a non-profit organisation and being completely self-funded, it relies solely on employee donations to keep the work going. A statute regulates its operations and provides visibility of the financial activities, and various measures are in place to promote transparency and to ensure that funds are allocated responsibly.
Over the past years MITA Cares has the privilege to assist numerous individuals and these organisations:
