Cloud Category

MITA provides on-premises hosting on its own hardware, fully managed and operated by MITA. The on-premises hosting provides data residency within MITA’s Data Centres, where this is a mandatory requirement and also provides very close proximity to the clients accessing the applications and data, providing a very low latency, required by some specialised applications. Additional, MITA also provides Cloud hosting, currently on Microsoft’s Azure Cloud. In doing so MITA also provides consultancy and guides clients in using the Cloud in the most cost-effective manner, while MITA manages the overall Cloud infrastructure (tenant) used by the Government of Malta.
