Inġ. Ian Bonello

Ian earned his degree in Electrical Engineering and embarked on a dynamic professional journey, launching his career in the private sector as a security engineer. His expertise soon led him to SGS Thompson, where he excelled as a quality engineer specializing in semiconductor quality control. In 1993, Ian joined MSU, stepping into the role of Technical Services Officer and quickly making an impact in network design and implementation.   

Over the 30 years and more at MITA he managed various projects, and acquired management experience in various roles, including Networking, Systems and Databases, Internet Services, Systems development, and Cloud Technologies.  His main specialization is Service Management and operations.  He has been leading the Service Management Department tasked with being responsible for quality of services across all MITA for the last decade. 

His vast experience within MITA has enriched him with deep expertise across every facet of ICT infrastructure, from visionary design and hands-on implementation to comprehensive support and maintenance.
