Ivan Alessandro

Ivan Alessandro is an experienced senior executive with over 25 years in C‑level roles, specialising in financial management and organisational digital transformation. As Chief Financial Officer at MITA, he leads the agency’s financial strategy, ensuring fiscal sustainability, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. His responsibilities also span procurement, contracting, GDPR, performance management, legal affairs, EU funds, and client relationship management. Ivan played a key role in deploying MITA’s large-scale Enterprise Resource Planning system and supporting the Government-wide Modern Workplace programme, including leading major negotiations with international technology partners.

His career includes senior financial positions in both government and industry, as well as serving as Malta’s National Contact Point for Legal and Financial Matters under the EU’s FP7 Research and Innovation Programme. He also supported SMEs in financing and business development. Ivan holds a CPA warrant, an Executive MBA with Distinction, and multiple professional certifications, and is an active member of leading international accounting and information management bodies.
