Jesmond Mizzi began his career at MITA in 1992 as a graduate in Computer Technology, starting in software development before progressing to manage major national ICT projects across sectors such as the Public Registry, Courts of Justice, Finance, Social Security, and Transport. He also led several ICT‑driven reforms within these departments. Between 2011 and 2013, Jesmond gained private‑sector experience as a consultant, client relations lead, and project manager, later earning a Master’s degree in Creativity and Innovation from the University of Malta.

He returned to MITA in 2013 as Business Planning Manager and, in 2014, became HR Manager, where he oversaw significant reforms in human resources within the Agency. Jesmond now serves as Head of the Executive Office, focusing on transforming MITA into an open, learning‑oriented organisation that embraces innovation and proactively addresses emerging technological, operational, and HR challenges.
