The issues relating to the Government’s e-ID service that affected a number of online government services earlier today have now stabilised.

Following the issuance of an SMS and email by MATSEC containing a direct link to the results portal, a significantly higher-than-anticipated number of users attempted to access the service simultaneously.

This generated an exceptional surge in authentication requests against the Government’s e-ID service, which is used to provide secure access to several online platforms, including MATSEC, myHealth and other government services.
As a result, some users experienced temporary delays, interruptions or difficulties logging in. MITA’s technical teams responded immediately, implementing mitigation measures and increasing systems’ capacity to stabilise the service.

The situation is now stable, with users successfully accessing the affected services.

MITA will continue to monitor the service closely and take any further action as necessary to maintain service availability and performance.

We thank the public, particularly students and their families, for their patience and understanding. We also take this opportunity to wish all students the very best with their results and future endeavors.
