Corp Authentication

MITA is responsible for the evolution, improvement and operation of the Government Directory Service. This is a federated identity and access management tool, with on-premise and off-premise components, that empowers public officers to authenticate and access government systems and services using multiple factors of authentication.

The Corp Authentication service provides:

  • windows-based authentication for corporate devices
  • linux-based authentication services
  • centralised network configuration management of desktop and other devices using Group Policy Object (GPOs), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) and similar tools
  • single sign-on for legacy and cloud native solutions through federation services

The service is powered by an integrated local Microsoft Active Directory infrastructure and Microsoft Azure AD to allow for a more versatile and secure authentication portfolio.
